GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1.1 Please be on time: Arrival is set to 15 min before your booked tour-time. We do not offer refunds to late-comers or no-shows.

1.2 Note our tours are by default run in English unless otherwise has been agreed in writing.

1.3 Our tours run in all kinds of weather, it is only if we deem it dangerous (i.e. heavy snow or cloud bursts) that we reserve the right to cancel a tour. If your tour is cancelled and we are unable to reschedule it, we will issue you a 100% refund. We cannot be held responsible for any transportation, accommodation, loss of earnings or any other associated costs you may have incurred due to cancellation of our tours.

1.4 Ensure you are wearing flat shoes. We reserve the right to deny your participation on the tour without a refund if your footwear is deemed unsafe. 

1.5 It is your responsibility that you and your entire group meet our weight and height requirements, i.e. each person has to weigh between 35 – 125 kg with min. height of 135 cm. Every person participating must be clear of any mobility issues or any medical condition that makes it unsafe to cruise on one of our tours. If this is not the case, we reserve the right to deny that person or persons participation on any of our tours and without a refund.

1.6 In order to ensure the comfort and safety of all our guests, we reserve the right to deny our services to any guest who we believe is under the influence of alcohol or other substances without a refund.

1.7 Any guest who does not follow the given tour guide’s instructions or behaves inappropriately towards our tour guides, other guests and staff during or before a tour will be asked to leave the tour without a refund. We ask our guests to drive responsibly and at all times follow the instructions given by their guides otherwise we reserve the right to stop your tour at any given point where you will have to arrange for and pay for your own transport from that point and there will be no refunds issued. 

1.8 No pregnant women are allowed to participate on our Segway Cruises.

1.9 If anyone in the group is younger than 18, a legal guardian or parent will have to sign our liability waiver on that person’s behalf.

1.10 Everyone is required to both wear a safety helmet and sign our waiver of liability described below – prior to participating on our tours. 

REFUNDS

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

We offer you a FULL REFUND up to 7 business days before your booking. If more than 7 business days have gone by, we cannot offer you a refund. However, we are happy to move your day and timing with at least 2 hours advance notice to your existing booking during high season (MAY-OCT) and during the rest of the year with at least 24 hours advance notice is required. This DOES NOT apply to larger group bookings where separate terms have been agreed over email. 

To complete your refund, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

1.1 REFUNDS (if applicable)
Once your refund request has been received, we will send you an email to notify you of receipt. You will also be notified once we have agreed to process your refund. A credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.

1.2 LATE OR MISSING REFUNDS (if applicable)
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, as it may take some time before your refund becomes officially credited. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

By purchasing any Segway Cruise Tour or event, you and all members of your party agree to all terms and conditions and our refund policy as stated in entirety, whether they have been read and understood by all, some, or none.

All terms and conditions are non-negotiable and are subject to change without notice.

WAIVER OF LIABILITY

You will need to kindly sign a waiver of liability before your Segway Cruise Tour or Segway Cruise Event.

This agreement releases Segway Cruise ApS from all liability relating to injuries or damage of possessions that may occur during the use of Segway® PT i2 and Segway® PTx2. By accepting this agreement, I agree to:

I agree to this release of all claims, waiver of liability and assumption of risk (“Waiver and Release”). I waive any and all claims I may have now and in the future, and release from all liability and agree not to sue Segway Cruise ApS (hereafter referred to as “SC”), its officers, agents, representatives, employees or tour guides (hereafter referred to as “Staff”) for any personal injury, death, property damage to myself or 3rd party, or loss sustained by me as a result of my participation in a tour or event offered by SC, on Segway® PT i2 or Segway® PT x2, due to any cause whatsoever, including without limitation, negligence on the part of SC, its Staff, tour partners, or other participants. I further agree that if I violate this agreement and attempt to bring suit against any part of parties named herein that I will be held responsible for attorney’s fees and any costs incurred by that person in defending such action.

I am aware that the tours and events offered on Segway® PT i2 or Segway® PT x2, in addition to the usual dangers and risks inherent, has certain additional dangers and risks. I accept all the inherent risks of the proposed tour and the possibility of personal injury, death or property damage or loss resulting there from. I acknowledge that the enjoyment and excitement of the proposed form of tour or event is derived in part from the inherent risks incurred by travel and activity beyond the accepted safety of life at home or work, and these inherent risks contribute to such enjoyment and excitement, being a reason for my participation. I agree that if I suffer injury or illness, SC or its Staff can, at my cost, arrange any medical treatment and emergency evacuation service as it or they deem necessary for my health and safety. Further, I agree at all times during the tour, to abide by and comply with any additional instructions given by my tour guide or any other Staff and I accept that non-compliance may result in injury, death or permanent disability. I also understand that non-compliance may result in my removal from the tour.

In entering this Waiver and Release, I am not relying on any oral, written nor visual representations or statements by SC or its Staff or any other inducement or coercion to go on the tour. I confirm that, by my own free will, I have read and understood the Terms and Conditions of this booked tour or event and Waiver and Release and agree that this Waiver and Release will be binding upon my heirs, next of kin, executors, administrators and successors.

As a participant on the tour or event, I accept full responsibility for my behavior, well being, and health throughout the tour or event. I knowingly and willfully take complete and total responsibility for my behavior, well being and health during the tour or event. I agree to hold neither SC, nor its Staff, or facility liable in any way should any harm come to me.

By booking a tour or event, I affirm that I have fully understood and agree to these Terms and Conditions, Waiver and Release of Liability.

 

PRIVACY STATEMENT

SECTION 1 – WHAT DO WE DO WITH YOUR INFORMATION?
When you book a tour online then as part of the selling process, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, address and email address.
When you browse our store, we also automatically receive your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address in order to provide us with information that helps us learn about your browser and operating system.

We do not disclose this information to any third party unless asked to do so by law.

SECTION 2 – CONSENT
1.1 How do you get my consent?
When you provide us with personal information to complete a transaction, verify your credit card, place an order, arrange for a purchase or a return of a purchase, we imply that you consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific reason only.
If we ask for your personal information for a secondary reason, like marketing, we will either ask you directly for your expressed consent, or provide you with an opportunity to decline.

1.2 How do I withdraw my consent?
If after you opt-in, you change your mind, you may withdraw your consent for us to contact you, for the continued collection, use or disclosure of your information, at anytime, by contacting us at info@segwaycruise.com or mailing us at:

SECTION 3 – DISCLOSURE
We may disclose your personal information if we are required by law to do so or if you violate our Terms of Service.

SECTION 4 – CHECKFRONT
Our store is hosted on CHECKFRONT. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you.
Your data is stored through Checkfront’s data storage, databases and the general Checkfront application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall.

PAYMENT
If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, then Checkfront stores your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted.
All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.
PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store.

SECTION 5 – THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
In general, the third-party providers used by us will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us.
However, certain third-party service providers, such as payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, have their own privacy policies in respect to the information we are required to provide to them for your purchase-related transactions.
For these providers, we recommend that you read their privacy policies so you can understand the manner in which your personal information will be handled by these providers.
In particular, remember that certain providers may be located in or have facilities that are located a different jurisdiction than either you or us. So if you elect to proceed with a transaction that involves the services of a third-party service provider, then your information may become subject to the laws of the jurisdiction(s) in which that service provider or its facilities are located.
As an example, if you are located in Canada and your transaction is processed by a payment gateway located in the United States, then your personal information used in completing that transaction may be subject to disclosure under United States legislation, including the Patriot Act.
Once you leave our store’s website or are redirected to a third-party website or application, you are no longer governed by this Privacy Policy or our website’s Terms of Service.

When you click on links on our store, they may direct you away from our site. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other sites and encourage you to read their privacy statements.

SECTION 6 – SECURITY
To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed.
If you provide us with your credit card information, the information is encrypted using secure socket layer technology (SSL) and stored with a AES-256 encryption. Although no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, we follow all PCI-DSS requirements and implement additional generally accepted industry standards.

SECTION 7 – COOKIES
Here is a list of cookies that we use. We’ve listed them here so you that you can choose if you want to opt-out of cookies or not.
_session_id, unique token, sessional, Allows Checkfront to store information about your session (referrer, landing page, etc).
_shopify_visit, no data held, Persistent for 30 minutes from the last visit, Used by our website provider’s internal stats tracker to record the number of visits
_shopify_uniq, no data held, expires midnight (relative to the visitor) of the next day, Counts the number of visits to a store by a single customer.
cart, unique token, persistent for 2 weeks, Stores information about the contents of your cart.
_secure_session_id, unique token, sessional
storefront_digest, unique token, indefinite If the shop has a password, this is used to determine if the current visitor has access.

SECTION 8 – AGE OF CONSENT
By using this site, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your state or province of residence, or that you are the age of majority in your state or province of residence and you have given us your consent to allow any of your minor dependents to use this site.

SECTION 9 – CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time, so please review it frequently or each time you make a Segway Tour booking with Segway Cruise. Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon their posting on our website. If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you here that it has been updated, so that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we use and/or disclose it.
If our store is acquired or merged with another company, your information may be transferred to the new owners so that we may continue to sell products to you.

 

TAXI REFUNDS

1.1. We cover up to 50 DKK pr. person in a booking who are arriving by taxi to our store location and who made a direct booking over our own website. 

1.2 We only cover the taxi receipts if no other discount codes are used and it is a direct booking over our website on our shared tours.

1.3 Please remember to keep your taxi receipt and hand it to your guide for your entitlement to the relevant refund.

1.4 You will then be refunded over the same card you made your booking with.

1.5 We only cover the actual taxi ride and not any waiting time and/ or tips.

Of course we will provide you with thorough training before your Event or Sightseeing Tour. Rest assured that our guides do continuously provide safety commentary via our hi-fi radio system during your Segway Experience.
